Di seguito vengono proposti alcuni consigli utili per preparare una presentazione in inglese.

Per cominciare, questa viene suddivisa in 6 punti ordinati nel seguente modo:

  1. Saluto
  2. Introduzione del tema da presentare
  3. Linea-guida su ciò che verrà presentato
  4. Riepilogo/Sommario dei contenuti presentati
  5. Domande da parte dei partecipanti
  6. Conclusioni

Vediamo nel dettaglio come questi punti possono essere sviluppati ed argomentati al fine di aiutare a condurre una buona presentazione in lingua inglese.

1. Saluto

Per avviare la presentazione, l’obiettivo principale viene focalizzato su chi sei,  su qual è il tuo ruolo e per quale azienda lavori. Ecco come iniziare:

  • Good morning/good afternoon/ good evening ladies and gentlemen.
  • My name is {name}, {title} and {company} and I am delighted to be here today ….
  • Hello everybody. Thank you for coming  today.
  • My name is {name} and {title} and I’m from …
  • I’d like to start by introducing myself. My name’s {name}, {title} and {company}
  • Hello. My name’s {name}, {title} and {company}

2. Introduzione del tema da presentare

Successivamente, ci si focalizza sul tema che verrà trattato, pertanto la presentazione viene orientata nel seguente modo:

  • Today I am here to talk to you about…
  • As you all know, today I am going to talk to you about…
  • I would like to take this opportunity to talk to you about…
  • I am delighted to be here today to tell you about…
  • Today I would like to outline…

3. Linea-guida su ciò che verrà presentato 

Dopo aver introdotto il tema, ci si orienta nuovamente verso la presentazione. Utilizzare le frasi elencate di seguito per rientrare nel focus dell’ argomento. 

  • My talk is divided into {number} parts.
  • I’ll start with / Firstly I will talk about… / I’ll begin with
  • Then I will look at …
  • Next…
  • And finally…
  • Firstly, I’m going to look at …
  • Secondly, I’ll move on to the issue of …
  • Then I’ll move on to examine …
  • Lastly/Finally, I’ll look at / focus on …
  • I have divided my talk into the following main areas: … …
  • I am going to divide my presentation into two main parts. First I’m going to describe …..
  • And then I’ll move on to look at ……

4. Riepilogo/Sommario dei contenuti presentati

Per completare l’argomento della presentazione, i concetti principali vengono riassunti attraverso l’utilizzo delle seguenti frasi:

  • To sum up…
  • So to summarise the main points of my presentation…
  • Just a quick recap of my main points…

5. Domande da parte dei partecipanti  

A seguire, i partecipanti vengono invitati a formulare delle domande sull’ argomento appena trattato. Si possono quindi utilizzare frasi che aiutino ad ottenere feedback immediati:   

  • If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
  • Does have anyone have any questions? I will be happy to answer your questions now
  • If you have any further questions, I will be happy to talk to you at the end.
  • We’ll finish off with a question and answer session.
  • My talk will last about {number} minutes and there’ll be time at the end for questions.
  • At the end of my talk, which will last about {number} minutes, I’ll be happy to answer any questions you may  have.

6. Conclusioni

Per terminare la presentazione possono essere utilizzate frasi del tipo:

  • To conclude my presentation, …
  • In conclusion, …  
  • I’d like to conclude by……
  • That brings me to the end of my presentation, thanks for listening / for your attention.
  • Thank you all for listening, it was a pleasure being here today.
  • We’re coming to the end of the presentation so I’d just like to thank you for listening …
